Ngayon ang ating araw ng kalayaan. Bagamat wala na ang mga Kastila at mga Hapon, huwag nating kalimutan na marami pa rin sa ating mga kababayan ang hindi nakakalasap ng tunay na kalayaan — kalayaan mula sa kahirapan at kawalan ng hustisya.
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
English version: Today we celebrate our independence day. The Spaniards and Japanese invaders are long gone but we must not forget that many of our countrymen have yet to experience real freedom — freedom from poverty and injustice.
